WELCOME

The Mathematics Section (SMA) is responsible for the teaching of mathematics at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). It is part of the Faculté des Sciences de Base (FSB). (School of Basic Sciences)

Mission statement

• teaching at the three academic levels: (bachelor, master, PhD)
• teaching to students from all EPFL Sections, as well as from various UNIL departments and from the Haute Ecole Pédagogique
• management of the Mathematics' Library
• to promote mathematics in our school and outside of it.
